Deputy Tomlinson is dependable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help wherever needed. During the week of August 24, 2026, RTIC staffing was limited, with members attending the National Real Time Crime Center Conference. At the same time, two docked drones were inoperable due to battery replacements being on backorder. Deputy Tomlinson was actively working to resolve this issue. When the Clemmons First Responder drone subsequently became inoperable due to an unscheduled software update, Deputy Tomlinson quickly identified and resolved the issue within minutes, returning the drone to service.
When additional responsibilities arise, he does not wait to be asked. He identifies what needs to be done and works toward a solution. Deputy Tomlinson’s technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and willingness to take ownership of issues directly contribute to the success and reliability of the RTIC and the Drone Program. His positive attitude, initiative, and commitment to teamwork make him deserving of recognition as the August Enforcement Staff Member of the Month.
