A major winter storm, pushing through the state, Sunday, has helped to keep the air pollution lower and code GREEN. Behind the departing system, Monday, arctic high pressure will build in from the west providing cold, but clean conditions through Tuesday on brisk winds. As a result, particle pollution will remain lower and code GREEN, Monday and Tuesday. While the cold weather will persist in to Wednesday, winds will begin to decrease allowing for a slow build up of particle pollution, potentially back to low code YELLOW (GENTRY).
